A Method of Collecting Soil Solutions from Flooded Soils

A procedure and soil water sampling unit are described for obtaining soil solution samples from flooded soils. The low oxidation-reduction potentials of soil solution samples should be preserved by extracting the samples under an atmosphere of nitrogen. Standing floodwaters do not inhibit the collection of samples.
