Select software before the hardware!
1986
Kasavana, M.
One of the most commonly made mistakes in selecting foodservice computer programs is the selection of the hardware before the software. It is much easier to find software to fit hardware systems than it is to do the reverse. In addition, the type of software program chosen is imperative in the overall effectiveness of the desired objectives. The most successful approach to acquiring a computer system is to carefully analyze the tasks required by the operation, the most efficient way of handling the tasks, and then selecting software which most closely accomodates these needs as possible. Once these decisions have been made, selection of the hardware is appropriate.(lsp)
