A simple technique for evaluating translocation of fungicides

A technique that will distinguish between fungicides that are translocated ant those that are not is outlined. the fungus and the fungicide are arranged so that translocation through carrot tissue was demonstrated. the fungi used as indicators were Sclerotium rolfsi Sacc. and Thielaviopsis basicola (Berk. & Br.) Ferr. twenty-two fungicides, including some systemics, were tested. specificity of some chemicals was demonstrated. the technique is suggested as a screening method.
