The essential oil obtained by hydrodistillation from Aspidosperma polyneuron Muell. Arg. leaves collected in southeastern Brazil was analyzed by GC, GC/MS and 1H- and 13C-NMR spectroscopy. The main constituents identified were pentadecanal (6.3%) and kaurene (73.7%).
