Microalgae: a revolution for salt-affected soil remediation
2022
Pei, Haiyan | Yu, Ze
Salt-affected soil and carbon emissions are worldwide problems. Tiny microalgae hold huge power to remediate soil and reduce carbon. An eco-friendly and cost-effective approach is proposed to remediate salt-affected soils using microalgal eco-farms, which would deliver threefold benefits: salt-affected soil amelioration, CO₂ reduction, and agricultural production.
