Herein, novel nanostructure composites of LiFe₅O₈/MoS₂ have been successfully prepared by a two-step hydrothermal method with excellent microwave absorption performance, in which raspberry-like LiFe₅O₈ nanoparticles embedded three-dimensional MoS₂ microflowers. The morphology, structure and electromagnetic properties of the nanocomposites have been tested. The results show that the prepared composites with a mass ratio of 1 : 6 between LiFe₅O₈ and MoS₂ have extremely low absorption loss and a wide absorption bandwidth at a thin matching thickness. The minimum reflection loss value reached −63.61 dB and the effective absorption bandwidth was 5.2 GHz with a sample thickness of only 2.179 mm. The combination of LiFe₅O₈ and MoS₂ effectively improves the impedance matching of the composites, further improving their microwave absorption properties. In addition, the LM composites can accurately achieve effective absorption in the X and Ku bands and can become one of the choicest materials for designing lightweight and efficient microwave absorbers.
