Cafeteria dons new look

The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) at Leland Middle School in Southport, NC sponsored a competition, "Being a responsible user of the cafeteria". The 3-week program featured a different competition for each school day. Emphasis was placed on minimizing the noise level, and increasing good manners, cleanliness, and care in the cafeteria. Judging the winner was seen as a difficult part of the project. (emc)
