Volatile constituents of the distilled leaf and peel oils of Citrus limon Burm cv. "Pant Lemon-1"

The essential oils isolated from leaves and peels of Citrus limon Burm cv. "Pant Lemon-1" were analyzed by combination of GC and GC/MS. The oils were found to contain 31 and 56 constituents respectively. Out of these, 27 and 34 were identified. Both the leaf oil and the peel oil possess limonene (38.2% and 52.0% respectively) as the major constituents, while other major constituents varied.
