The Author carried out researches about the productivity of fattening pigs and Large White sows reared in conditions of chronic B1 and G1 aflatoxicosis by means of feed contamination at the doses of 500, 650 and 800 ppb. No alteration of health status in treated pigs was recorded, while the weight gain, the feed utilisation, the carcass yield, the meat quality and reproductive efficiency were negatively affected

L'Autore ha condotto indagini per valutare la produttività di suini all'ingrasso e scrofe allevati in condizioni di aflatossicosi cronica da B1 e/o da G1, realizzata mediante contaminazione dei mangimi con le due aflatossine per dosaggi complessivi di 500, 650 e 800 ppb. Le aflatossine B1 e G1 non determinavano l'insorgenza di apprezzabili manifestazioni cliniche, mentre erano in grado di compromettere l'estrinsecazione delle attitudini produttive, producendo effetti negativi su velocità di crescita, indice di conversione, rese di macellazione, caratteristiche qualitative della carne ed efficienza riproduttiva
