Inspection researches on emergency slaughtered cattle

English. Among the many innovations, the Directive 91/497/EEC has mainly modified the emergency slaughtering by making it similar to the one of necessity. In order to estimate the sanitary problems of these animals a research concerning 1,300 cattle was carried out and based upon three inspection indicators: anatomopathological monitoring, research of inhibitors (kidney and muscle) and bacteriological control (muscle, kidney and liver). The obtained results have better outlined the health conditions of the slaughtered animals and the importance of appropriate interventions to be fulfilled by the participation of Local Sanitary Units
Show more [+] Less [-]Italian. La Direttiva 91/497/CEE, tra le tante novita', ha sostanzialmente modificato la macellazione d'urgenza, equiparandola di fatto alla macellazione di necessita'. Per meglio valutare i problemi igienici degli animali cosi' macellati abbiamo effettuato un'indagine su 1,300 bovini (1,055 adulti, 245 vitelli), basata su tre indicatori ispettivi: mappatura antomo-patologica; ricerca di sostanze inibenti (rene, muscolo); esame batteriologico (muscolo, rene, fegato). I risultati ottenuti meglio hanno delineato lo stato sanitario degli animali macellati e fatto ipotizzare gli interventi da predisporre a livello di UU.SS.LL.
