RFLPs in the Italian pig breeds [RFLP: restriction fragment length polymorphism]

The homologous probes of the genes gamma-Glutamyltranspeptidase (GGT), Transferrin (TF) and Arachidonate 12-lipoxygenase (LOG12) have been hybridized with porcine DNA samples digested with different restriction endonucleases. The research has been carried out using 15 Italian Large White, 10 Italian Landrace, 6 Belgian Landrace, 10 Duroc, 6 Hampshire and 6 Pietrain pigs. At the GGT locus RFLPs have been detected with Bgl II and Hinc II. At TF and LOG12 loci a RFLP has been detected respectively with Taq I and with Bgl II

Sono state utilizzate sonde a cDNA omologhe relative ai geni gamma-Glutamiltranspeptidasi (GGT), Transferrina (TF), e Arachidonato 12-lipossigenasi (LOG12), per l'ibridazione con campioni di DNA suino digerito con diverse endonucleasi di restrizione. La ricerca e' stata effettuata su 15 Large White Italiani, 10 Landrace Italiani, 6 Landrace Belga, 10 Duroc, 6 Hampshire e 6 Pietrain. Al locus GGT sono stati individuati polimorfismi con Bgl II e Hinc II. Ai loci TF e LOG12 e' stato osservato un RFLP rispettivamente con Taq I e con Bgl II
