Production of large trees for the privileged spaces of the cities [France]

English. Established in 1871, the firm Pepinieres Guillot-Bourne entered the nursery business producing fruit trees and especially walnut trees. It started the production of ornamental trees in the thirties and that of large-size trees in the years sixties and seventies. The Guillot Bourne techniques of cultivation and rearing in the nursery envisage avoidance of herbicides and rationalized administration of fertilizers, together with initial good quality of stage 10/12 plants, though this aspect may create supply problems. On the other side, selling, it has to be noted that a serious problem of quality exists in the sales to public administrations: a severe discrepancy exists between the prescriptions of the planners and the reality of supplies. The solutions, which we suggest to guarantee the quality of supplies, are to introduce in the specifications of the contract: obligation to consider the image of the cultivated subjects (it is the only means to defend quality in presence of inadequate norms); obligation to consider and evaluate the traceabilty of the offered products: origin of plants, methods of cultivation, administered cares and transplants

Italian. Fondata nel 1871, l'azienda Pepinieres Guillot-Bourne inizio' con la produzione di alberi fruttiferi, in particolare il noce. Inizio' la produzione di piante ornamentali negli anni '30 ed entro' nel settore dei grandi esemplari negli anni '60 e '70. Le tecniche di coltivazione ed allevamento Guillot-Bourne prevedono l'assenza di diserbanti nel vivaio ed una concimazione ragionata, unita alla qualita' iniziale delle piante allo stadio 10/12, anche se cio' pone problemi nella fase di approvvigionamento. Sul versante delle vendite, si deve rilevare che nella scelta delle forniture ai soggetti pubblici c'e' un problema di qualita'. Esiste, infatti, uno scarto enorme fra le prescrizioni degli ideatori dell'impianto e la realta' delle forniture. Le soluzioni che noi suggeriamo, per garantire ai richiedenti una fornitura di qualita', riguardano l'introduzione, nelle trattative per gli appalti, della considerazione di: fotografie dei soggetti in coltura (il solo mezzo di difesa della qualita' dato che le norme esistenti sono estremamente insufficienti); tracciabilita' dei prodotti proposti (provenienza delle piante, metodi colturali, cure e trapianti)
