English. The Kynch theory of gravitational sedimentation, based on the propagation of the kinematic waves of an idealized suspension, was studied. The Kynch partial differential equation was proposed and integrated with the characteristics method. The flux density function of volume fraction of solids q(c), the diagrams of height-time for the various regions of the q(c) graph and the tank-schemes with front waves and rarefaction waves were presented. As consequence of Kynch theory, a design method of discontinuous food suspension clarifier-thickener was proposed. To confirm and eventually to verify the limits of this approach, an experimentation on a food suspension was carried out, which will be presented in the part two
Show more [+] Less [-]Italian. [E' stata studiata la teoria della sedimentazione gravitazionale di Kynch, basata sulla propagazione delle onde cinematiche di una sospensione idealizzata. L'equazione differenziale parziale di Kynch e' stata proposta e integrata con il metodo delle caratteristiche. Sono state presentate la funzione di densita' di flusso della frazione volumetrica dei solidi q(c), i diagrammi di altezza-tempo per le varie regioni del grafico q(c) e gli schemi dei contenitori con i fronti d'onda e le onde di rarefazione. Come conseguenza della teoria di Kynch, e' stato proposto un metodo di progettazione di un chiarificatore-ispessitore discontinuo per sospensioni alimentari.
