1990
Takegawa, M. (Hyogo-ken. Government Office, Kobe (Japan)) | Kobayashi, H.
According to the increase of seedling culture on soil blocks for leaf vegetables, compost for blocks was standardized and manners of growing were examined. 1) Standard compost was equivalent mixtures of granite soil and peat moss. 2) The suitable time for transplanting was the time when leaf area index (LAI) of seedlings became 2.0. 3) Watering 3.0 - 3.5 liter/square meter every day in midwinter or 1.5 - 3.0 liter/square meter every two or three days in midwinter led to a better growth. 4) Nitrogen fertilization by the amount of 1 - 2 g/10 liter soil was satisfactory
