The purpose of this paper is to study the reasonable scale on large-sized farm of rice paddy farming which adopts the crop rotation system of three-crop per two years, rice-barley (wheat)-soybeans. The large-sized farms adopted for the consideration are located in the Kaga plain, Ishikawa prefecture, Hokuriku district. The farms consist of two types. One is the case of the farm equipped with one semi-large machinery system for rice crop. Another is the case of the farm equipped with two semi-large machinery systems for rice crop. At the same time some problems awaiting solution for the technology of rice paddy field utilization will be discussed. Such technology is needed for the purpose of converting the system of rice paddy field utilization and consolidating the large-size farm management by these large-sized farm managers
