For the work saving and high efficiency in welsh onion transplanting, the transplanter which was attached to a power tiller and used a chain paper pot was developed. The developed transplanter was composed of pa power tiller, a transplanting unit, and a seedling tray. Actions of the transplanter include furrowing, chain paper pot transplanting and covering. The developed transplanter is ready for practical use, for the depth and the pose of planted welsh onion were good enough as were expected. The working time which was a seventh in comparison with that of the conventional human work, required 2 - 3 h/10a
