The importance of variety improvements of feed grasses and animal breeds has been stressed in the nomadic livestock farming area of the Inner Mongolia of China. However, our view is that the on-farm level balance between available amount of feed grass and heard size must be stressed. From this point, the importance must be placed on the development and dissemination of nomadic pasture land protective and reproduction management system by technological assistance and providing subsidized low interest fund. Improving efforts which enrich reproduction of nomadic pasture land by re-sowing improved varieties, application of fertilizers, having fallowing plots for nursing, desert-protective tree planting, and so on, are required. Mere heard size expansion must be prohibited. However, such new feeding system will be effectively executed under the government supports in terms of technical assistance and financial support. We conclude that primal importance must be placed on the establishment of the integrated nomadic livestock farm program that will provide farmers an economic incentive
