Effects of methane gas plant residues, cattle manure and artificial fertilizers on coffee yield and quality in Kenya
1988
Njoroge, J.M.
A study was conducted over a period of 12 years on the effect of various types of methane gas plant residues in comparison with cattle manure and artificial fertilizers on coffee yield and quality in the west of Rift Valley, Kenya. Results showed that cattle manure had the highest response followed by sludge and compost manure applications. Also highest responses were observed where cattle, compost and sludge manure were applied, while organic manure and artificial fertilizer had no significant effect on the proportion of large sized coffee beans
