Highlights economic importance of Armillaria root rot, a major disease of tea in Kenya. Cultural and chemical options for managing the disease are reviewed and biological control approach discussed as another option for management of the disease. The challenges posed by this disease to plant pathologists and tea growers are also highlighted.
