Wirework Agriotes spp. damage to different collections of uwa Hordeum vulgare L. under Chitwan condition

Evaluation of 26 representative collections of uwa (Hordeum vulgare L.) from 28 districts of Nepal to wireworm (Agriotes spp.) damage under rainfed condition in Chitwan showed that most of the entries suffered damage within five weeks after seeding. Among the tested samples, Baglung, Baitadi, Rolpa, HCIP (LA) and Mustang collections suffered least indicating possible source for further studies on the mechanism of resistance and breeding program.
