Deer on red clover produce red urine: a case report

Describes a phenomenon discovered during trial work with red deer grazing on red clover pasture when the deer were observed to be producing red urine. Clinical observation, haematology, urinalysis and biochemical analysis determined that this process is not harmful to the animal. The urine is normal colour when voided and changes to a scarlet colour over a 60 minute period
