The Second Industrial Credit Project for India provides the Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation (ICICI) a second loan of $10 million to replenish its foreign exchange resources. The ICICI was created to assist in the development of private industry in India, to encourage local and foreign private capital participation in its financing , and to assist in the expansion of the Indian capital market. This report reviews the corporation's past performance, management and organization, and its investment program and financial prospects, as well as presenting the report's conclusions and recommendations.
