This Precis entitled, Ten years of social fund activities in Bolivia, complements the Bank's Operations and Evaluation Department (OED), Performance audit report, Bolivia : First and second social investment fund projects, Report No. 16195, dated December 23, 1996. The audit suggests that the next step in Bolivia's struggle against poverty should be to improve the coordination and sequencing of government development policies and to coordinate the activities of Fondo de Inversion Social (FIS) with other poverty funds operating in the country.
