Caribbean Technical Assistance Centre (CARTAC)

The Caribbean Regional Technical Assistance Centre (CARTAC) is a regional resource, based in Barbados, which provides technical assistance in core areas of economic and financial management at the request of 20 participating countries. CARTAC's mission is to enhance the institutional and human capacities of countries in the Caribbean region to achieve their macroeconomic, fiscal and monetary policy objectives. It does this by providing technical services in four core areas: public expenditure management, tax/customs policy and administration, financial sector regulation and supervision, and economic and financial statistics. The Centre project started in 2001 and will end in 2004.
