Japan - Fourth Expressway Project (Toyokawa - Komaki)

The Fourth Expressway Project for Japan will construct an expressway between Toyokawa and Komaki which is an expansion of the Tokyo-Nagoya-Kobe Expressway Project. It is a four lane divided highway designed to almost the same standards as the previous projects. The Toyokawa-Komaki region is one of the most industrialized and prosperous areas in Japan, with the city of Nagoya at its core. Completion of the Tokyo-Nagoya-Kobe Expressway, in which the Toyokawa-Komaki section is an integral part because it is one of the most highly populated and developed regions in Japan. The expressway will be a crucial step in alleviating the shortage in the transportation capacity in this area.
