The soil of Zyghi Station belongs to the Zyghi series. It contains 40% clay and 50% calcium carbonate throughout the profile, its bulk density ranges from 1.35 to 1.70 g/cm3, and its pore volume fraction is 0.43. At 33 cb suction the soil contains 37% water (by volume), and at 15 atm. 19%. CEC is 15 meq/100g soil and is uniform with depth.
