Economic significance of the premature leaf destruction caused by leafhoppers in Sultanina grapes
1994
Iordanou, N. | Charalambous, P. (Agricaltural Res. Inst., Nicosia (Cyprus))
Azinphos (ethyl+methyl) and dimethoate, which were selected in laboratory bioassays as effective against leafhoppers (Zygina, Empoasca) did not prevent leaf destruction in the vinegard. In contrast, lime (a repellent) provided protection. However, leaf damage after harvest did not reduce yield in the following year.
