A través de inoculaciones artificiales sobre frutos verdes y maduros de tomate de la variedad Roma se comprobó que el aislamiento 3 de Phytophthora infestans obtenido en la Empresa de Cultivos Varios "Los Palacios" fue el más patogénico. Se observó que los frutos verdes son más susceptibles que los maduros.

Through artificial inoculations on ripened and green tomato fruits of the Roma variety, it was found that isolation 3 of Phytophthora infestans resulted the most pathogenic. This strain was isolated at "Los Palacios" Agricultural Enterprise. Green fruits were more susceptible than ripened ones.
