Aleuroglyphid mites inhabiting house dust (Acar: Acaridae) [Egypt]

Two mite species belonging to the genus Aleuroglyphus zachvatkin were found in house dust at Giza Governorate. One species was identified as A. ovatus (Troupeau), the other one was considered to be new to science and identified as A. Zaheri. A full description and illustration of the female was given. A key was created to distinguish the two species.
