Amylolytic, trypsin and lipolytic activities of the small intestines and some blood parameters of normal Hubbard chickens and after Ascaridia galli infestation

The present study was planned to investigate the amylolytic and lipolytic activities in the chyme of the different parts of the small intestine beside the determination of the blood picture and glucose level of blood of 60 chickens (15 days old). The amylolytic, tryptic and lipolytic activities in duodenal, jejunal and ileal contents beside the erythrocytic-count, hemoglobin-contents packed cell-volume and blood-glucose-level showed insignificant changes 5 days Pl, however they significantly decreased 15, 25 and 55 days post-infestation (Pl). The total leucocytic-count showed insignificant change 5 days Pl; however, leukocytosis was observed 15, 25 and 50 days Pl.
