A study on soil deterioration of Dikirnis district Dakahlia governorate [Egypt]

The current study has been conducted to elucidate the soil deterioration in Dikirnis District. The survey of the studied area was carried out in 1965 and 1986. The study revealed that a marked soil deterioration occurred through these twenty one years. This deterioration could be related to the rise of ground water table and in turn increasing salinity.
