Alternative pesticides to aldren as termiticides [Egypt]

Aldrin 40% WP, fenvalerate 20% EC, chlorpyrifos TC 40% EC, carbofuran 35% FC and 10% G, isofenphos 5% G and phoxim 10% G were evaluated against the subterranean termite, Microtermes najdensis on cotton plants. The experiment was carried out at Wadi Mawr Project Farm, TDA, YAR by three methods of application. These methods are surface soil spraying (S.S.), side dressing (Si.d.) and seed dressing (Se.d.). The method of application, seed dressing application showed better results than that of soil surface spraying on cotton fields.
