Economic effects of organic production of essential oils in Bulgaria

The aim of the present study is to analyze and assess the economic effects of organic production of essential oils in Bulgaria. For the comparison of the economic effects of conventional and organic production of Rosa damascena and Lavander we use the methods - Net present value, Intern rate of return and Recovery period - discount variant. The results of the study present that organic production of essential oils with policy support and premium prices provides economic effects similar to the economic effects of conventional farming.
