The stationary experiments carried out during a long time period (1974-1986) provide the possibility of noticing some complex phenomena which describe the mean effect of fertilizers on the wheat, maize and soybean harvest in close relationship with the evolution of fertility of albic illuvial soil at Albota. Nitrogen proved to be the decisive element in increasing the yields on condition that it had be2032en applied together with phosphorus and potassium. The yield increase had been of 20 q/ha for wheat, 30 q/ha for maize, 7 q/ha soybean. The use of some superintensive cultivars and hybrids represents an important means both for increasing the yields and for a superior utilization of fertilizers. The variation of relative yields was directly influenced by the soil supply in mobile phosphorus and potassium. These values together with the yield levels are the basic elements for delimiting the fertilizers rates. The unfavourable evaluation of soil acidity indices asks for the liming and relimiting measures. This soil improvement method brings along important yield increases of 5-6 q/ha for wheat, 13 q/ha for maize and 3.5 q/ha for soy
