Using the floristic-phytocoenological and mainly production ecological analysis the influence of trampling to two basic types of dwarf pine in the Vysoke Tatry Mountains: bilberry dwarf pine and bog moss dwarf pine is evaluated. The paper includes a detail analysis of the biomass of herb and moss layer in both above-mentioned dwarf pine stands. Also an analysis of total organic matter in bilberry dwarf pine ecosystem is presented. The main aspect of the paper is the evaluation of trampling impact on production capacity of dwarf pine communities in the Vysoke Tatry Mountains.
