Various materials for product packaging are being in the dairy industry. Functional fermented dairy products, such as different types of yoghurt, creme and similar, can be packed in monolayer, multilayer, cups, pouches or bottles made of different polymer materials. For functional products, it is necessary to use packaging of good quality and of attractive shape and design, which is economically reasonable and ecologically applicable. Aim of this work is to review various possibilities of packaging functional fermented dairy products, as well as to present the results of the analysis carried out on most commonly used materials for this purpose. Obtained results point out various qualities of analyzed materials and allow different possibilities when searching for a most adequate choice.
