Chronic pulmonary virus diseases of sheep, maedi-visna and pulmonary adenocarcinoma are contagious diseases and belong to a so-called slow virus infections. From the moment of penetrating the virus into an organism until the first symptoms several years may pass. Both diseases are incurable and there is no vaccine that can prevent development of these infections. Since these diseases are spread worldwide, in some cases they cause great economic losses, so some countries implement programs for their control and monitoring.
