The two-year research made in the Center for Small Grains in Kragujevac (Serbia), studied the possibility of growing a relatively new plant species, as well as the impact of different genotypes on yield and grain quality. The experiment, set up by randomized block design with three replications, the soil type smonitza, were examined four winter triticale varieties developed at the Center for Small Grains in Kragujevac (Serbia): Favorit, Trijumf, General and Zarko. The results showed that all tested triticale varieties have nearly the same values for grain yield in the examined period. The greatest grain yield in 2007-2008, achieved a Favorit variety, whereas in 2008-2009, achieved the highest yield variety Zarko. The highest average weight of 1000 grains in a two-year period of examination was accomplished variety Zarko (42.46 g).
