Altogether, 86 butterfly species (Rhopalocera) were recorded between 1995 and 2007 as a result of the fieldwork carried out of the wider Jagodina region: Hesperiidae - 9 speices (10,4%), Papilionidae - 3 (3,5%), Pieridae - 14 (16,3%), Lycaenidae - 17 (19,8%), Riodinidae - 1 (1,2%), Nymphalidae - 28 (32,5%), Satyridae - 14 (16,3%). The relative high number of species recorded could be explained by the long period of research. The interesting discovery was the presence of some rare species: C. erate, C. myrmydone, L. camilla, A. iris, K. roxelana, L. tityrus, L. thersamon, C. semiargus, A. urticae, A. arethusa, N. xanthomelas, C. alceae.
