Two isolates of B. bassiana (AUMC No. 3263 and 3076) and one isolate of M. anisopliae (AUMC No. 3085) were tested against the egg, 3rd instar of larvae and pre-pupal stages of the cotton leafworm. The results indicated that M. anisopliae was more effective for the egg stage than B. bassiana as indicated by low value of LC50. As for larval stage, data indicate that isolate No. 3076 for B. bassiana was the most pathogenic (LC50 = 2.68 x 10*8 spores/ml) followed by M. anisopliae AUMC No. 3085 (LC50 = 5.68 x 10*8 spores/ml). Also, results refer that B. bassiana isolate AUMC No.3076 at the concentration of 1.1 x 10*9 spores/ml is effective to get 100% mortality for the pupal stage of the pest.
