Transfer of agri-economic and technological knowledge for innovative agriculture in Bulgaria

Sustainable management of farms involves carrying out a range of activities toimprove the technologies and methods of agricultural production, on the one hand,and activities related to environmental protection, animal and plant health, animalwelfare, public health, quality and food safety, on the other hand. There is a growing link between the success of a sector and the business organizations within itand the knowledge that is used. At present, the knowledge find concrete expression in various innovations - technological, organizational, human-related, etc.,which help to achieve sustainable development. All this creates a serious need forknowledge transfer. The purpose of this paper is to explore the theoretical foundations of knowledge transfer, the practical options for improving the mechanismsfor acquiring, storing, disseminating and absorbing agricultural and technologicalknowledge and to reveal their impact on the sustainable and innovative development of regional and sectoral economies.
