The authors have studied influence of various levels of iodine and goitogenous substances (perchlorates, thiocyanates, nitrates and fluorides) in diets on content of thyroid hormones in blood, nephritic excretion of cyclic nucleotides, iodine concentration in thyroid gland, liver, blood, urea and faeces. Thyreostatics did not virtually alter iodine absorption but substantially and specifically affected the micronutrients use in an organism and functional activity of a thyroid gland
