The paper deals with location of spawning-grounds of masu salmon in small rivers of Primorye Territory with respect to spawning-grounds of other species of Pacific salmons. The adaptive value of choice of spawning-grounds in the upstream river parts by females and certain peculiarities of behaviour of natural grown and hatchery juveniles of masu salmon are discussed
