High fruit quality always remains as a first priority in breeding of apple, and the best world varieties Gala, Elstar, Golden Delicious, Red Delicious are both standards and at the same time major donors of high quality in apple breeding. Complex donors KV45, KV42, A886/17, COOP13 being crossed with donors of high fruit quality enable one to obtain in individual seedlings a combination of high fruit quality and required agronomic characteristics of trees (spur type, scab resistance, precociousness, dwarf type, strong vigor). Addition of high winter resistance to new elites enables one to obtain apple varieties that combine all above mentioned priority traits in individual genotypes
