A new diet product, jam of laminaria (JL) has been developed; it is enriched by a fermentolysate of Se-containing food yeast. JL clinical effectiveness was studied at using by the patients suffering from hypertonic disease in combination with adiposis. The control group (CG) consisted of 21 adults and the tested group (TG) did of 22 adults. The all patients had a traditional therapy including a low-calorie antiaterogenic diet (energetic value 1700 kilocalories, 0.075 kg of proteins, 0.07 kg of fats, 0.190 kg of carbohydrates (0.021 kg from them were fibres). The patients of TG received additionally JL for 3 weeks and they ate 0.010 kg of it twice a day as a desert. The JL had good organoleptic properties and normal digestibility. Positive dynamics of main disease symptoms was expressed in the both groups at the same level. JM using made stool normal. The level of systolic pressure in the TG decreased from 149.5 to 120.6 and it did in the CG from 144 to 122 milli m of vacuum. The heart rate in the TG lowered from 74.5 to 65.7 in a minute. Total cholesterol content decreased by 19% in the TG and it did by 14% in the CG. Triglyceride content and the one of lipoproteid cholesterol of the lowest density also decreased by 17%. The patients of the CG had no changes in Se supply, but the ones of the TG had the follow changes: 11 had the level of Se decreased, 8 had it a little lowered and 3 had no changes. Se level dependence on its start supply in an organism was showed up: an overdose did not occur at a high start level. The conclusion has been made that JM and other laminaria-containing (which is enriched in Se) products are perspective in nutrient of patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases.
