In the field experiment 2008 in the Moscow Region on early potato varieties Zhukovsky ranniy and Udacha an effect of a preparation of Ekogel based on chitosan lactate was tested. The influence of Ekogel on the potato productivity and quality, and its prevalence of diseases were estimated by treating seed tubers and vegetating plants with Ekogel solution at phases of efflorescence and anthesis. As was found, Ekogel promoted increasing the yield of the Zhukovsky variety ranniy by 1.5-15%, Udacha – by 16-25% with the control yield 39.6 and 36.3 t/ha, respectively. The positive influence of treatment on the structure of yield and quality of products was observed. As for the content of nitrates, the producted treated with Ekogel met the requirements imposed on dietary potatoes. Ekogel treatments caused increasing the production of nutritionally valuable components compared to the control: dry matter, starch, vitamin C. An analysis of tubers has shown that in the Ekogel variants the prevalence of potato scab reduced by 10.6-24.9%, Rhizoctonia blight – 6.8-20.7% compared to the control. The returns on investments were 19.7-34.5 rub/rub. The perceptiveness of ecologically safe preparations based on chitosan for potato growing is shown.
