Monitoring of the virulence of Tver population of flax rust agent and resistance of breeding material | Мониторинг вирулентности Тверской популяции возбудителя ржавчины льна и устойчивость к ней селекционного материала

The study was carried out in 2001-2015 in order to examine the virulence of the Tver population of flax rust agent and to search new sources of resistance that are of interest for breeding programmes. The material for the study was the samples of the rust agent, test varieties (16 units), selection lines of flax (31 units). Uredospores Melampsora lini were used for the work with the pathogen of flax, to study the phenotypes of the pathogen, to determine the disease resistance of varieties and breeding lines on the light-installation or under field conditions of Tver region. The analysis of the general virulence of the Tver population of the flax rust pathogen in 2011-2015 showed more virulent biotypes, compared to 2001-2010, when there were mostly avirulent biotypes of the pathogen for resistant test varieties of flax (Alfa, Tverskoj, Tomsky 17, Rosinka). The accumulation of moderately virulent biotypes in the population led to affection of the resistant test varieties Torzhoksky 4 (16.5%), Novotorzhsky (51.7%), etc. The change in the reaction of the highly resistant test varieties Priboj (3.0%) and Zaryanka (7.0%) to rust was repeatedly registered. The stable reaction of highly resistant test varieties Lenok, Tverskoj, Alfa and Rosinka indicates the absence of the agent of new strongly virulent races in the population of the pathogen. 25 lines (M-339, M-332, P-214, P-207, etc.) were identified from 31 breeding ones of fiber flax. They demonstrated a stable immune reaction to the pathogen during the years of the study (2010-2015). The lines M-307, M-322, M-324, M-329 M-330 were noted for a group resistance to two diseases. In addition to the resistance to rust, they had the high immunity of fusarial wilt (95.3-98.6%). The best of them (M-307, M-322, M-324, M-329 and M-330) are a promising material for the development of new varieties and are the sources of group resistance.

Исследования проводили в 2001-2015 гг. с целью изучения общей вирулентности тверской популяции возбудителя ржавчины льна и поиска новых источников устойчивости, представляющих интерес для селекционных программ. Материалом для исследования служили биообразцы возбудителя ржавчины, тест-сорта (16 шт.), а также селекционные линии льна (31 шт.). Для работы с возбудителем ржавчины льна, изучения фенотипов патогена, определения устойчивости сортов, селекционных линий льна-долгунца к заболеванию на светоустановке или в полевых условиях Тверской области использовали уредоспоры Melampsora lini. Анализ общей вирулентности тверской популяции возбудителя ржавчины льна в 2011-2015 гг. показал наличие более вирулентных биотипов, по сравнению с 2001-2010 гг., где присутствовали в основном авирулентные биотипы для устойчивых тест-сортов льна (Альфа, Тверской, Томский 17, Росинка). Накопление средневирулентных биотипов в популяции привело к поражению устойчивых тест-сортов Торжокский 4 (16,5%), Новоторжский (51,7%) и др. Периодически фиксировали изменение реакции к ржавчине у высокоустойчивых тест-сортов Прибой (3,0%) и Зарянка (7,0%). Стабильная устойчивая реакция высокоустойчивых тест-сортов льна-долгунца Ленок, Тверской, Альфа и Росинка свидетельствовала об отсутствии в популяции возбудителя новых сильновирулентных рас. Из 31 селекционной линии льна-долгунца выявлено 25 линий (М-339, М-332, П-214, П-207 и др.), показавших за годы исследований (2010-2015 гг.) стабильную иммунную реакцию к действию патогена. Групповой устойчивостью к 2 болезням характеризовались М-307, М-322, М-324, М-329, М-330, которые, кроме устойчивости к ржавчине, имели высокую устойчивость (95,3-98,6%) к фузариозному увяданию. Лучшие из них (М-307, М-322, М-324, М-329 и М-330) – перспективный материал для создания новых сортов, а также источники групповой устойчивости.
