Russian.

As a result of the analysis, modern problems in the nutrition of the children's population of the Russian Federation have been revealed, their causes have been identified, and ways to eliminate them have been outlined. The body of legislative acts and regulatory documents aimed at improving the nutrition of the population of the Russian Federation, including children, has been studied. About 25 million children under the age of 14 live in the Russian Federation, which is 17% of the total population. Of school graduates, only 10% of students can be considered relatively healthy. The most common diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, anemia, and metabolic diseases in children are noted (including overweight and obesity in 20% of children). The main reasons for these deviations are low physical activity and disorders in the nutrition structure. The analysis of 7 legislative acts and 12 regulatory documents that formulate the principles and define the norms of consumption of basic foodstuffs by the population has shown the presence of significant shortcomings in the legal mechanism for regulating the production and circulation of food for baby food. The multiplicity and fragmentation of legal norms, the lack of unified approaches and regulatory instruments, insufficient interaction of science and practice has been revealed. To correct the current situation, it is necessary to expand the regulatory framework regulating the terms and definitions for certain categories of specialized food products; to update the existing regulatory framework for the norms of the physiological needs of the population in nutrients and energy; to use food ingredients with functional properties. It is especially important to develop methods for determining table salt in confectionery products and recommendations for calculating the content of added sugars in them.
