1996
Lesnik, T. | Groznik, K. (Zavod za gozdove Slovenije, Ljubljana (Slovenia))
Public relations are of increasing importance for quality in forestry. The quality in this field concerns the application of different techniques relating to strategic planning, the objectives of an organisation and certain principles. Professional papers view public relations in forestry in the past as modest and unsystematic. This sphere is included in current regulations and responsibilities of the Forest Service. For the functioning of the Forest Service, the following groups are of importance: school youth, organised public, general public, forest owners and interior public. For high-quality public relations, public opinion polls and appropriate training are required.
