Seedlessness of table grape varieties - heredity

New seedless table grapes were obtained when gynoid or hermaphrodit grape varieties were crossed with seedless ones. The aim was to determine the segregation ratio of seedless and seeded types of the crossing combinations using the analysis of qualitative characters by means of the x** (2) test. The probability of seedlessness in the progeny is higher if the maternal variety is gynoid. The influence of concrete maternal and paternal cvs. was evaluated too.
